Japanese shipping company Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line) has concluded a long-term contract with compatriot Hokuetsu Kishu Paper Co for a new wood-chip carrier. The new wood-chip carrier will be built by Japanese shipbuilder Oshima Shipbuilding Co. and delivered in 2018, NYK said in a release. December was a pretty busy month for Teekay Corporation as keels for six LNG newbuildings were laid at Korean Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard.   Five of these 173,400 cubic meter M-type, Electronically Controlled, Gas Injection (MEGI) engine LNG newbuildings are under time-charter contracts with Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell).
