Geoje in South Gyeongsang Province of Korea has requested a service for ‘a decision on urban management plan (change) and execution plan’ regarding an establishment of an offshore plant industry support center. The city has announced on May 6 that it will begin a service for building the center within this month and complete the service early next year.
The offshore plant industry support center is planned to be constructed in 169,000㎡ of woods and fields in Jangmok-ri, Jangmok-myeon, Geoje. A building arrangement will be completed during the first half of this year and a construction for creating a site will begin around February of next year. The center is expected for completion toward the middle of 2016.
KRW 100bn ($91.45m) worth of government expenditure will be injected over three stages and as the first stage, a main building, a laboratory building, a testing center for a total assessment, a testing center for training and etc. are scheduled to be founded.
